any Union or State minister automatically lose office
if detained for more than 30 consecutive days on
charges carrying a minimum five-year sentence, and
this rule applies at both Union and State levels,
including Delhi under Article 239AA.

even without a court conviction.
(2) A 30-Day Timeline: Automatic removal is triggered on the
31st day of continuous detention.
(3) Reappointment Allowed: A minister may be reappointed
